Jim Chambers | Of Counsel

Jim Chambers has extensive experience in both for profit and nonprofit searches. Based in Dallas, Jim conducts senior executive-level engagements and established the nonprofit practice for the firm. His work has included placements in a range of functional categories for human service and cultural organizations. Before joining Victory Search Group, Jim built the nonprofit practice at TNS Partners, and was a consultant for 5 years at Heidrick & Struggles. From 1980 to 1995, Jim worked for two diversified industrial and technology companies, in general management, strategic planning, marketing, and M&A roles.

Jim was a member for six years of the Board of the Dallas Chapter of the American Red Cross, chairing the Development Committee and serving on the Executive Committee. He also served for six years on the Executive Committee of the Board of the Dallas Arboretum and has just been reelected for a similar tenure for TACA. Jim was a Partner at Dallas Social Venture Partners, supports strategic planning at Children at Risk, and is a member of the Advisory Council for the School of Economic, Political & Policy Sciences, University of Texas at Dallas.

Jim has a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College and a Master’s in City and Regional Planning from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He earned an MBA from Yale University.
